Can You Grow A Food Garden In Miami Fl

Our edible plant nursery has been growing and sourcing high quality vegetable, tropical fruit, culinary herb & spice plants for Miami residence for more than 6 years. We started out growing vegetable starts for use on our small urban farm and then noticed that there weren't many options for responsibly grown unique fruits & vegetable plants for homeowners looking to grow their own food at home. Over the years we have been slowly expanding our growing space so that we can grow and stock more happy plants and more exotic varieties like medicinal plants, rare plants like vanilla orchids, and even native plants & spice trees. For the last 3 seasons we have been operating our specialty nursery and small urban farm in Allapattah, however this summer we turned stewardship of that land back to its owner and with the help of local agricultural nonprofit AgriTrace Institute we relocated the nursery operation to the historic PLK Estate in the Redland. Through this new partnership we will be empowered to grow more plants than ever before and share them with a larger area of South Florida. Covid 19 has definitely put a spin on our sales process and the accessibility of our plants to in person shoppers, so keep an eye on our instagram, calendar and website for shopping instructions.

As of January 2nd we are open to the public for in person plant shopping every Saturday from 10am - 5pm. masks are mandatory for all visitors, and dogs are welcome. The address is 22305 sw 157th avenue, zipcode 33170.

Check out our calendar for all the information about upcoming opportunities to purchase plants at the nursery in the Redlands, online or at special plant sale events in Miami.
